Edward Salt was the Rector at All Saints Church in Standon for 31 years.

He was born on 29 June 1847 and married Anna Caroline Wrottesley, daughter of Edward John Wrottesley and Maria Eugenia Jeffreys, on 31 July 1873. He died on 29 April 1907. (visit link)

There are two stained glass windows showing a religious figures. In one window the figure is holding an open book and a large gold key; in the other the figure is holding a closed book and a sword, with the memorial inscribed on the window at the bottom.

The inscription reads;

Remember ye in the Lord, Edward Salt,
Rector of this Parish for xxxi years,
who entered into rest xxixth April
mcmvii aged Li.x;in loving recollection
of whom his parishioners and friends
dedicate this window.
