Am Verkehrsknotenpunkt Konrad-Adenauer-Platz in Bonn steht einer von mehr als 150 Telekom-Hotspots im Bonner Stadtgebiet. Hier ist der WLAN-Onlinezugang täglich 30 Minuten gratis freigeschaltet. Das Angebot gilt für alle Nutzerinnen und Nutzer aus dem In- und Ausland, unabhängig vom eigenen Mobilfunkanbieter. Wer nach Ablauf der 30 Minuten das Internet weiter über das WLAN-Netz der Telekom nutzen will, kann beispielsweise einen Telekom-Hotspot-Tagespass buchen.

Und so funktioniert's:
- WLAN am Endgerät aktivieren und verfügbare Netze anzeigen lassen.
- "Telekom" wählen und "Verbinden".
- Webbrowser auf dem Endgerät starten und eine beliebige Internetadresse eingeben, danach erscheint das Hotspot-Portal für Bonn.
- Auf den Button "Online gehen" klicken. Danach ist 30 Minuten kostenloses Surfen möglich.

Anmerkung: Im Test (Mai 2017) funktionierte die Nutzung dieses Hotspots reibungslos, sogar noch einfacher, als von der Stadt Bonn beschrieben - nachdem der HotSpot erkannt war, ließ sich sofort lossurfen.

This is one of more than 150 Telekom hotspots in the Bonn city area. At this location WLAN access is open daily for 30 minutes free of charge. The offer is valid for all users from Germany and abroad, independent of their own mobile phone provider. Whoever wants to use the Internet after the end of the 30 minutes via the WLAN network of the Telekom can, for example, book a Telekom hotspot day pass.

This is how free WLAN works in Bonn:
- WLAN on the end device and display available networks
- Select "Telekom" and "Connect"
- Start the web browser on the terminal and enter any Internet address, then the hotspot portal for Bonn appears
- Click the "Go Online" button. Afterwards, you have access to 30 minutes of free surfing
