[EN] The House of the Templars located in this quarter was the headquarters of the order in France.

This street was given this name by the municipality on February 8, 1939. It makes reference to the aqueduct of Savies which, after having serviced the Temple, continued to the Vertbois fountain at the priory of Saint-Martin des Champs.
