State Farm started using a “Tri-Oval” emblem in 1953. The interlocking ovals contained the words Auto, Life and Fire, the three types of insurance sold by State Farm. From 1980 until 1982 some adds had a brief glimps of the words Life, Health, Home and Auto stack one on top of another.
State Farm had a new logo designed in 2011 and on New Year’s Day, 2012 released the new design. The new logo still has the three ovals, but they are no longer connected. The words Auto, Life and Fire were also removed from the logo, as State Farm now has a greater number of insurance types they offer, plus financial products.
