Bridgemere Garden Centre was opened in 1961 by John Ravenscroft as a small rose nursery. They were acquired by Wyevale in 2006 and are now one of Britain’s largest centres, selling a huge range of top-quality plants and gardening products. The centre covers six acres of award-winning show gardens and offers great shopping facilities, wildlife trails and play areas.
A 7-acre display garden dating from around 1985 is open to the public free of charge. Designed to inspire amateur gardeners, it is composed of more than twenty separate gardens, including English country, Victorian, Mediterranean, woodland, water, rose and patio gardens. The display also includes recreations of prize-winning gardens from the Tatton Park and Chelsea Flower Shows, as well as the garden in which the 1993 television series Gardener's Diary was filmed. (

The original purpose of a gazebo was to make a place from which one may ‘gaze' at a garden. Gazebos are used to make sitting areas with a sense of place. a good view, and a degree of shelter from sun and wind. Gazebos can also be decorative features used to support climbing plants or to house garden statues. (

The octagonal gazebo is located in the display garden area of Bridgemere Garden World.
The structure has green decorative metal posts and a metal roof. There are two wooden benches inside situated on either side of a path that allows access through the gazebo. It certainly provides a wonderful place to sit and 'gaze' at the beautiful gardens that surround it.
