Hier im Wald von Darmstadt, zwischen Böllenfalltor und Ludwigshöhe, vorbei an Goethefelsen, Goetheteich und Ludwigshöhturm, gibt es den Internationalen Waldkunstpfad. Seit 2002 veranstaltet das Internationale Waldkunstzentrum Darmstadt, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Forstamt Darmstadt alle zwei Jahre das Symposium "Internationaler Waldkunstpfad". Künstler aus verschiedenen Ländern zeigen ihre Kunstwerke. (
visit link) Manche bleiben für immer hier im Wald - so wie dieses Haus.
Das "Forest House" wurde 2010 von Joan Backes (USA) (
visit link) erschaffen. Das Thema damals war „Freiheit und Wildnis“. Das Holzhaus kann betreten werden und hat innen Sitzplätze. Die Wände sind für einen dauerhaften Aufenthalt aber zu luftig.

At the beginning of this forest starts the "International Forest Art Path". You can walk for about three kilometer (two miles) along wooden art. Since 2002 artists from different countries are invited every two years to shows the artistic work. Some of the art remains in the forest.
This wooden house, called "Forest House", was created in 2010 by Joan Backes (USA) (

visit link) . The house has a size of about 15 feet x 12 feet x 9 feet. You can go inside and sit / relax there for a while. It is a permanent installation. (
