"Solid community local with a landlord who has been at the helm for over twenty years. Food does not feature, just ale and conversation. Comfy seating and the log fire are enhanced by a music-free environment. Four guest ales are served, often from major concerns such as Greene King and Everards, but sometimes featuring small local breweries. The sparkler is willingly removed on request. Off-road parking is available directly opposite the pub. Note that lunchtime opening is weekends only.
