This painted barn quilt is located in downtown Waterford, Ontario on the side of Waterford TV & Appliances & Mattress and view-able from Bridge Park.

This set of paint barn quilts were placed to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. This one is particular was placed in memorial to Moses Sovereen's Mill.

"The mill was set on fire three times and, each time, Sovereen put the fire out under threat of death. Finally he was seized, taken up a hill and a rope put around his neck, ready for the execution. When Sovereen made the Masonic sign, his life was spared."
