Das Münchner Frühlingsfest ist ein Volksfest, das seit über 40 Jahren auf der Münchner Theresienwiese stattfindet. Da es dem Oktoberfest ähnlich ist, wird es auch oft als die kleine Wiesn bezeichnet.
Das Frühlingsfest auf der Theresienwiese gilt seit über 50 Jahren als "Fest der Schausteller" und fand bereits im Jahr 1965 zum ersten Mal statt.
Zu bieten hat das Fest im Frühling auf der Theresienwiese so einiges. Gute Stimmung in den Festzelten und auf dem Festgelände, einen Termin- Kalender mit allerlei Highlights und Programmpunkten (wie dem Flohmarkt, Oldtimertreffen, Brauchtumstag und Feuerwerk) sowie über 100 Buden und Fahrgeschäfte für Gross und Klein. Zudem, ähnlich wie beim Oktoberfest, bayerische Gemütlichkeit und Volksfest-Atmosphäre am Tag sowie fetzige Wiesnpartys am Abend.
Das Fest dauert zwei Wochen und beginnt Mitte April. Zum Auftakt der kleinen Wiesn ziehen am ersten Freitag die Pferdegespanne der beiden Lieferbrauereien, der Prunkwagen der Schausteller und zwei Musikkapellen auf der Theresienwiese ein. Um 16 Uhr wird das erste Bierfass angezapft und damit das Fest offiziell eröffnet.
An den beiden folgenden Freitagen wird jeweils um 22 Uhr auf dem Südteil der Theresienwiese ein großes, farbenfrohes Feuerwerk gezündet. Dies ist ein Geschenk der Münchner Schausteller an die Besucher.

The Münchner Frühlingsfest is a folk festival that has been held for over 40 years at the Theresienwiese in Munich. Since it is similar to the Oktoberfest, it is often referred to as the little Wiesn.
The spring festival on Theresienwiese has been the "Feast of the Showmen" for more than 50 years and was held for the first time in 1965.
The festival in the spring on the Theresienwiese has something to offer. Good mood in the festivals and on the Festgelände, an appointment calendar with all sorts of highlights and program items (like the Flohmarkt, Oldtimertreffen, Customs Day and Fireworks) as well as over 100 shops and rides for young and old. In addition, similar to the Oktoberfest, Bavarian cosiness and popular festival atmosphere as well as busy Wiesnpartys in the evening.
The festival lasts two weeks and begins in mid-April. At the start of the small Oktoberfest, on the first Friday, the horses of the two delivery breweries, the show car of the showmen and two music bands on the Theresienwiese. At 16 clock the first beer barrel is tapped and thus officially opened the festival.
On the following two Fridays, a large, colorful fireworks will be lit at 10 pm on the southern part of Theresienwiese. This is a gift from the Munich showmen to the visitors.
