This piece of artistic lights won the "Lamp Lighting Awards" in 2015 in Barcelona. The artwork is made by Titia Ex from Amsterdam and inspired by the field boulders in the Hondsrug (an UNESCO Global Geopark).
"This lighting installation reflects the past and connects it to the present with today's latest technology. It is a passage in time," said Ex. The lighting takes travelers back to the era of the dolmens, and guides visitors to the future of urban light design.
Hanging on the four walls of the two tunnel tubes the piece is almost a kilometer long.
The artwork can be seen from outside the tunnel, but is best admired driving through the tunnel.
