At the campus of the university at the 'Pfaffenwaldring' in Stuttgart-Vahingen, Germany, Baden-Württemberg is an old windmill on a public display. It is called Windkraftanlage 'Ulrich Hütter'.

The windmill was constructured by Ulrich Hütter the former leader of the 'Institute für Flugzeugbau' of the university. This is the mother of all modern windmills. The year of construction is 1949. It is here on display since May 2003.

This type of windmill has been produced in a huge number in the 1950s to produce electrical energy.
