The age of the old cemetery "Auf der Heide" (in the woods about two kilometres outside the city centre) is not known. In a report of 1853 one says, "the cemetery serves since very long time for the burial of the Israelite municipality".
The funeral place is 2537 square metres, today 21 gravestones from sandstone and basalt which come predominantly from the second half of the 19th century are received.
