The footbridge is made of concrete slabs with metal bars forming the sides and handrails. It spans the River Churnet and can be accessed from public footpaths that cross fields in the Churnet Valley between the Leek Branch of the Caldon Canal and the Churnet Valley Railway Line, near Leek.
