I recovered this City of Seattle control monument in good condition. It is a brass disk monumented flush with the sidewalk and about six feet west of the curb to Elliott Ave and in front of an office building. The disk is made visible by an epoxy ring. The designation of 'SMP CONTROL' and 'CP 5-01' is stamped on the disk face. This disk is not listed in the NGS database. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this monument.
