Joseph Nevins was buried in Notre-Dame Cemetery, section X. Joseph, wife Ann and their son Joseph are recorded in the 1871 census of Nepean township, Carleton county, Ontario. Joseph and Ann were born in Ireland. The younger Joseph was born in Ontario. The 1871 Nevins household included other individuals who were likely also children of Joseph and Ann: Francis (age 27), Nicholas (21), John (11) and Roseann (9).
