Not only does this cemetery have the usual presence in FindAGrave (link below), but it also has its own locally-maintained
web pages, which gives relatively precise locations of each grave in the cemetery. Each block of graves (similar to a city block, but smaller) is clearly marked at the cemetery.
Oddly enough, the next piece of information, the lot or line L number is not which row a grave is found in. The rows are pretty obvious, except an occasional grave that is between rows. Instead, the L number seems to be as if there were a line of graves starting with the lowest numbered line going east and west at the north end of the cemetery. However, the graves definitely do not follow those "lines" like they do the rows! (Seems it would have been much easier if they had used the rows.) The higher the L number, the further south the grave is.
The space or site S number seems to denote a grave in a "cluster" of graves, rather than any north/east/west/south meaning. It is usually a low number -- too low to indicate which grave in either a line or row that it could be.
I've only seen a very few cemeteries that name the lanes within the cemetery itself, and this is one of those; with the names being those of prominent families along that lane. For such a very large cemetery, there are only a few graves that are missing dates, which is unusual. The oldest recorded grave is from 1832, making this definitely antebellum. The cemetery is definitely still used for burials.
