The Kurt G. Wintermeyer Trail is about a mile of boardwalk that provides access to the Weeks Bay Pitcher Plant Bog. The bog is home to at least three species of carnivorous plants; white-top pitcher plants, yellow-winged pitcher plants, and sundews.

If wildflowers are your thing the Bog is the place to be. We were there in late March. Several species were blooming. The pitcher plant had blooms and pitchers.

Trail allowances or restrictions:
The Bog itself is very fragile so STAY ON THE BOARDWALK. It is a walk so the only wheeled vehicles should be wheelchairs and walkers. Leashed dogs can be on the boardwalk.
