Marker Text:

Old Mill is the last remaining building of a large flour mill complex. The Graham Ill, originally builtin in 1900. This building was added in 1941 to serve as a warehouse and feed mill for what had become the Kimbell-Diamond Milling Company. A tragic fire on June 14, 1967, destroyed the mill except for this building. A local fireman, Ken Kramer, lost his life fighting the fire. The building was restored by Beaty Builders in 1996 as an excellent example of warehouse architecture of the day preserving the industrial character of the building was the foremost consideration during renovation. Most of the original wooden structural timbers and flooring were saved, as well as the original brick cavity wall with the stepped parapets and upper hopper windows.
