Bretfeld Palace, originally Renaissance or early-Baroque (1659?) town house with Gothic basement, was several times rebuilt during the Baroque period (1711-1723 and 1769). The last Baroque reconstruction was done by J. J. Wirch for Joseph, Count of Bretfeld-Chlumcanský. A relief of St. Nicholas on the front eastern façade and a group of statues on the staircase are work of Ignác F. Platzer.
