Long Description:
These animal powered cane presses were used to make molasses on the farm.

The molasses pan and kiln is located just a few yards away, and I have seen this mill and cooking pan in use during a molasses making demonstration here at the Homeplace , but that has been several years ago.

All needed to get this cane mill working again would be a good cleaning and the wooden hardware replaced, but the unit itself is intact and complete.
