Right on the lake, Nakusp is blessed with a heaping helping of lake front. Near the eastern end of the town is the marina and the Nakusp Launch Club while, on the other end of town, is the municipal beach. At the Launch Club is a long concrete boat ramp with a small wooden pier to tie up. The Launch Club, established in 1983, also manages a large pier for more permanent tie up space. Above the ramp, on Nelson Avenue, are a series of vehicle-trailer parking spaces.

Built about 2013, though the boat ramp looks to be a nice, usable facility, it appears to have been built with a few problems, which can be discovered in This News Article, reproduced in part below. Arrow Lakes were dammed at Castlegar in the 1960s, initially to control flooding downstream and later to also provide hydroelectric power. As a result the water level in the lakes can vary widely through the year. It seems that, among other problems, the boat ramp becomes unusable during periods of low water.

Though it's not indicated, since this is a private, not municipal, boat ramp, there is likely to be a fee for its use. As well, overnight moorage is available at the club's pier, doubtless for a fee. The Nakusp Launch Club seems not to have a web presence so we know very little about the club beyond what may be gleaned from the photos here.
