The sculpture was an entrant in the 2010 "Sculptures by the Sea" exhibition on Cottesloe Beach and was purchased by the Town of Cottesloe as part of their evolving collection for permanent display for the public to enjoy.
On the bottom of the accompanying plaque is the statement :-
"The obstacles that life puts in the way come between the figure's imagination of a journey and the realisation of the journey"
