Setting atop a climbing area for the children, on a flat ferrocement surface, a 5' wide compass rose is fashioned from small colored pebbles inlaid into the cement. The proper cardinals are in their correct places. In a playful way, it likely piques the children's curiosity, making this a beautiful and artistic "teaching moment".
