The cut slab of wood utilized as a headstone caught my attention as I passed through this pioneer cemetery, established in 1866. Tom Diebler's son, Tommy, is also buried next to his father.

There are many simple concrete markers with the names stamped on them throughout the cemetery. It can be assumed these graves were once wooden headstones that withered away over time and were replaced by the current concrete markers. Many of these graves say 'UNKNOWN' but it can also be assumed that these graves were known when buried.
