I spotted this older, concrete bridge from Interstate-5 and decided to investigate. After pulling off Exit 793 Lemos Road exit to the north and turning south onto Bailey Hill Road, it became apparent to me that this road was once Old Highway 99 and possibly even the Pacific Highway before that. The road is paved with asphalt along this stretch but a small section or two of the road contains the ORIGINAL 15-foot wide concrete section! The design and architecture of the bridge hint at the 1930s for age.

It's always exciting to be able to see original remnants of Old US99 (and possibly the Pacific Highway) and this bridge didn't disappoint.

Enjoy this original road and bridge, it's easy to get to!
