Das Tollwood-Festival ist ein Festival in München, das halbjährlich im Olympiapark (Sommer) bzw. auf der Theresienwiese (Winter) stattfindet.
Das Festival findet auf rund 30.000 Quadratmetern statt und hat im Sommer ungefähr 900.000 Besucher, im Winter etwa 600.000.
Charakteristikum des Festivals ist ein Drei-Säulen-Modell: Markt der Ideen, bio-zertifizierte Festivalgastronomie sowie ein Kulturprogramm aus Musik, verschiedenen Theaterformen, Performances und Bildender Kunst. Das Festival bietet ein breites musikalisches Spektrum von Rock, Liedermachern, Jazz und Blues, daneben finden Theateraufführungen und artistische Vorstellungen statt.
Der Anspruch der Organisatoren ist es, ein kulturelles Angebot von Musik, Theater, Kabarett und Kunst mit ökologischem Bewusstsein zu verbinden. Dabei findet ein Großteil der kulturellen Veranstaltungen bei freiem Eintritt statt.
Das Festival versteht sich als ein Forum für Ökologie und Umweltbewusstsein. Es will zum einen als Plattform für wichtige Themen aus diesem Bereich dienen und zum anderen als Impulsgeber für ökologische Projekte.
Das Sommerfestival erstreckt sich über ca. 25 Tage im Juni und Juli. Es findet mit rund 50 Gastronomie- und über 200 Kunsthandwerkständen im Olympiapark Süd statt.
Das Winter-Tollwood findet seit dem Jahr 2000 auf der Theresienwiese statt. Es startet kurz vor dem ersten Adventssonntag und hat einen eigenen Weihnachtsmarkt, der bis 23. Dezember dauert. Die Kulturveranstaltungen finden bis inklusive Neujahr statt. Das Programm besteht aus Theater, dem „Markt der Ideen“ und dem Weltsalon.

The festival takes place on about 30,000 square meters and has about 900,000 visitors in the summer, about 600,000 in winter.
Characteristic of the festival is a three-pillar model: market of ideas, bio-certified festival gastronomy as well as a cultural program of music, different theater forms, performances and fine art. The festival offers a broad musical spectrum of rock, songwriters, jazz and blues, as well as theater performances and artistic performances.
The aim of the organizers is to combine a cultural offer of music, theater, cabaret and art with ecological awareness. A large part of the cultural events take place with free admission.
The festival is a forum for ecology and environmental awareness. On the one hand, it aims to serve as a platform for important topics in this area and on the other hand as an impetus for ecological projects.
The summer festival takes about 25 days in June and July. It takes place with around 50 gastronomy and over 200 handicraft stands in the Olympiapark South.
The Winter-Tollwood has been taking place since the year 2000 on Theresienwiese. It starts just before the first Advent Sunday and has its own Christmas market, which lasts until December 23rd. The cultural events take place up to and including the New Year. The program consists of theater, the "market of ideas" and the world salon.
