Maternitat (Maternity) is a life-size stone sculpture of a semi-nude figure of a barefoot mother holding an infant in her right arm and hand. She is wearing a robe that covers her lower body which is draped over her right arm. Her right hand is held just above her right breast. The infant has its head falling backward and has its right hand near his right cheek. A 2' high urn is set on the left side of the mother.
The sculpture is located in a niche on the right side of the entrance to the building. The sculptors were Llucià Oslé and Miquel Oslé and the architect was Lluís Bonet Garí. The sculpture was created in 1951. The plinth is inscribed: M. OLSE MATERNITAT
