[DE] "Der Traumpfad startet am Gemeindehaus Virneburg und führt über den Nitzbach hinauf zur kleinen Kapelle. Ein enger Wiesenpfad windet sich zur mächtigen Ruine der Virneburg. Der Abstieg führt hinunter in den Ort bis hin zum Waldrand. Oberhalb des Nitzbaches geht es weiter durch den Wald. Stetig bergan führt der Wanderweg durch ein Seitental in den Hochwald und dann zu den Wacholderheiden am Schafberg mit phänomenalem Eifelpanorama.
Nach einer weiteren Feld- und Waldpassage und der Querung der B258 erreicht der Weg die Blumenrather Heide. Schön hebt sich die aufgelockerte Heide vom umgebenden Mischwald ab und gibt großartige Ausblicke bis zur Nürburg frei.
Vorbei am Brauberg geht es zur Schutzhütte oberhalb von Virneburg, wo sich ein toller Blick bietet. Ein Bergpfad führt an der Hangkante entlang zum Abstieg ins Nitzbachtal. Bei einer Bachquerung können müde Füße gekühlt werden, bevor ein kurzer Aufstieg durch satte Wiesenhänge folgt. Ein Rastplatz am Waldrand mit tollem Blick auf die Virneburg lädt zu einer letzten Rast ein, bevor dieser Rundwanderweg zu seinem Ausgangspunkt zurückführt.

[EN] "The trunk road starts at the Virneburg community center and leads across the Nitzbach up to the small chapel, a narrow meadow path winds to the mighty ruin of Virneburg, the descent leads down to the forest edge. From here, the trail leads through a side valley into the high forest and then to the Wacholderheide on the Schafberg with a phenomenal "Eifelpanorama".
After a further field and forest passage and the crossing of the B258 the path reaches the Blumenrather Heide. The relaxed heather from the surrounding mixed forest stands out beautifully and gives great views to the Nürburg free.
Past the "Brauberg" you will reach the "Schutzhütte" above Virneburg, where you will have a great view. A mountain path leads along the slope to the descent into the Nitzbachtal. At a brook crossing, tired feet can be cooled before a short ascent follows through thick meadows. A resting place at the edge of the forest with a great view of the Virneburg invites you to a last rest, before this circular trail leads back to its starting point.
