"Kasbah of Agadir
There is an unmistakable area on the top of the highest point of Agadir across the city, and at the same time it documents the historic past of the place, although other symbols from these times no longer exist. It is the Kasbah of Agadir (Agadir Oufella), a building that has been in existence for more than four centuries. The Kasbah was erected by the Moroccan dynasty of the Saadians in order to protect it from the attacks of the Portuguese sea and land forces, and existed exactly up to that day in the year 1960 when the earth trembled. "
