This relief sculpture is above the door of a former pub the Crickets Arms and is located at the junction of Gold Street with The Strand in Longton.

On the façade there is an arched panel with a raised ribbon bearing the legend 'THE CRICKETERS ARMS' above a set of stumps, cricket bat, two gloves and a cricket ball. The background is heavily textured. Above the panel a keystone bears the initials 'H.E' and the date '1878'. (visit link)

When the pub closed it became a pet shop (2009) and it is now the Bethel charity shop.
