An interesting U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office Triangulation Station disk shows that somebody screwed up: the station name "Grey" was obliterated and the station's correct name "Hamm" was incised.
The disk is a standard triangulation station disk, with a triangle and punch mark inside at the center of the disc, with station name HAMM and the date 1962. Engraved around the edge of the disk are the words "U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office Triangulation Station"
To to reach the station from the "Figurehead" Lost at Sea Memorial, face the guns at the St. David's battery. Look on the ground at seven o'clock position from the center of the battery. A round concrete pad 20 feet from the edge of the "Figurehead" Lost at Sea Memorial holds the station.
