[FR] La hottée du Diable se trouve à Coincy dans le département de l'Aisne.
C'est un chaos de bloc de grès.-
Selon la légende, aAu Moyen-âge, un entrepreneur avait été chargé de la construction de l'abbaye du Val Chrétien par le seigneur de Bruyères, mais rencontra des problèmes à réaliser rapidement l'ouvrage tel qu'il l'avait promis. Il conclut alors un pacte avec le diable : l'aide de ce dernier en échange de son âme.
Muni d'une hotte énorme, le diable commença l'ouvrage, mais au matin un coq s'est mis à chanter et fit peur au diable qui détala. Dans sa fuite, les bretelles de sa hotte se cassèrent et les pierres se répandirent sur le sol.
Ainsi est né le site de la Hottée du Diable.

According to legend, in the Middle Ages, an entrepreneur had been entrusted with the construction of the abbey of Val Chrétien by the lord of Bruyères, but encountered problems to quickly realize the work as he had promised. He then concluded a pact with the devil: the aid of the latter in exchange for his soul.
With an enormous hood, the devil began the work, but in the morning a cock began singing and frightened the devil who scurried. In his flight, the straps of his hood broke and the stones spread over the ground.
Thus was born the site of the hote of the Devil.
