These historic stone arches are Grade 11 listed for architectural and historic interest.
The are located in the car park area of the shopping village near to the Garden Centre and the aptly named Six Arches Restaurant.

The arches were originally part of the Trentham Hall conservatory that was designed by Charles Barry and built in the 1850's. Later the arches were incorporated into the Ballroom which was built on the sight in the 1930.

The Grand Hall Ballroom, which opened in 1931 and closed in 2002, was a popular venue for Saturday night entertainment in the 1940's 1950's and 1960's.
In the 1960s and 1970s many dance, rock and pop bands performed at Trentham Ballroom, including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, and Led Zeppelin. The Ballroom also hosted degree ceremonies for North Staffordshire Polytechnic. (visit link) (visit link)
