This Singer Treadle sewing machine is a model no. 27 and is known as the "Sphinx" with its interesting Egyptian motif. It was manufactured the week of December 20, 1911 where 32,000 were produced. This particular one is in an oak cabinet with seven drawers. The 6 side drawers are very ornate typical of the craftsmanship of its day.
