Transformateur EDF - Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, Centre - Historic Transformer Sub-Stations Buildings on Waymarking.com

[FR]Ce transformateur,ancienne génération est situé à l'intérieur de la société SKF de Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. Le but principal de ce transformateur était de convertir le courant électrique à haute tension en courant utilisable par les transformateurs de la commune. De part leur systéme de refroidissement au PCB (pyralène), il est à ce jour abandonné dû à la modernisation du réseau électrique.

La hauteur de ces stations de transformateur est justifiée par le fait qu'à l'époque presque tous les réseaux sont aériens, leur hauteur sert donc pour recevoir le réseau de tension moyen venant des poteaux(pôles).

Le réseau à basse tension est souvent aérien aussi, la photo postée ci-dessous est bien représentative de ce type de construction.

The height of these transformer stations is justified by the fact that at the time almost all the networks are aerial, their height therefore serves to receive the medium voltage network coming from the poles.

The low voltage network is often aerial too, the photo posted below is well representative of this type of building.
