Toward the back of the museum, this gas pump is the only one in the Museum's possession. It doesn't look like a Gilbert and Barker, the most common pumps one finds on display. A guess is that it is a Wayne, Model 615, single 10 gallon pump. We have no idea as to its date of manufacture - probably mid/late 1920s. If there is a name plate it has been covered by a
Home stencil. The pump appears to be in very good unrestored condition or has had a restoration many years ago.
The pump is branded
Home, which would be
Home Oil Limited. An Alberta based exploration and production company, Home Oil Limited began operations around 1929 and was acquired by Anderson Exploration in 1995. Quite a successful company, it built Calgary's
Home Oil Tower in 1977.
