The Apples utility box is partially nestled among evergreen shrubs and makes a colorful addition to the area. The apples are most likely McIntosh, a popular apple grown here and throughout the Okanagan Valley. Unfortunately most of the orchards are now long gone and replaced with vineyards. A trend started about 10 years ago and still continues today.

What at one time an unused area was revitalized in 2000 as a millennium project. Triangle Park was funded by the people, service clubs and businesses of Oliver, the Town of Oliver and the Government of Canada's Millennium Partnership Program.
