"Le Marinarium :
Connaitre, comprendre, gérer la mer... et mieux la respecter. Dans un cadre entièrement rénové, le Marinarium a sélectionné quelques aspects marquants de la vie marine illustrés par les aquariums, les murs d'images et des vidéos.
L'exposition qu'il abrite aujourd'hui raconte l'aventure scientifique du monde de la mer : les toutes premières expériences d'aquaculture marine, l'identification des nombreux organismes du plancton, la découverte de nouvelles molécules d'intérêt thérapeutique ou de nouvelles espèces de poissons. La surface des océans représente les deux tiers de la surface totale de la Terre. Dans cet univers, on estime que la diversité des formes de vies est 1000 à 10 000 fois plus élevée que sur terre !
Les thèmes développés dans le circuit de visite sont les suivants :
- Planète Océan ;
- l'activité scientifique de la Station de Concarneau ;
- le plancton, vivre libre dans l'océan ;
- le littoral, une immense richesse ;
- gérer la mer ;
- les Glénan, un atoll dans l'atlantique.
Un espace accueille les expositions temporaires. Les aquariums et le grand bassin de 120 000 litres abritent la faune et la flore locales." (
