The new cemetery arch was built in 2013, part of the Improvement and Beautification Project. The arch of steel rises out of tow stone columns, and across the drive arches a wrought iron double bars, between which the ginger-bread letters of WILLIAMSBURG CEMETERY are held aloft. Are is black.
Old Williamsburg is not much more than a museum and restaurant made of the old downtown on Old US 40, since the Interstate (I-70) was build a mile south of town. When you enter town from the Interstate, go left (west) on old US-40 for a couple og blocks and the turn left again...gravel road takes you to the cemetery.
