„In Silber ein rotes Kirchengebäude mit drei blaubedachten und mit goldenen Kreuzen besteckten Türmen und drei (heraldisch) offenen Toren.“
Wappenbegründung:

Es wurde 1846 vom bayerischen König genehmigt. Seit dem 13. Jahrhundert führte Speyer im Stadtsiegel den Dom in der Nordansicht belegt mit der Madonna. Beim Wappen entschied man sich für die Westansicht des Domes, weil sie vom Reichsherold als „empfehlenswerter und ehrwürdiger“ angesehen wurde."
