Thornton is a small village in the Metropolitan Borough of Bradford. In its past it had a large textile industry and a number of quarries nearby, providing much more employment than today.
It also had a number of famous people as residents in the past including an Olympic World record Holder, Anita Lonsborough and world famous novelists the Bronte Sisters.
