[FR] Une première fontaine avait été construite en 1512 au centre de la place. Elle recevait son eau de Saint-Avertin au sud de Tours. Elle a été démolie en 1784, seul le bassin avait été conservé.
En 1835, une nouvelle fontaine est établie à l'extrémité sud de la place avec réemploi d'une partie du mur du bassin initial.
[EN] A first fountain was built in 1512 in the center of the square. She received her water from Saint-Avertin south of Tours. It was demolished in 1784, only the basin had been preserved.
In 1835, a new fountain was established at the southern end of the square with reuse of part of the wall of the original basin.
