Wide Open Country

The eye-catching mural is the creation of artist Britney Samford, of Mabank, Texas. The store’s owner, Zack Taylor, asked Samford to use her talents to dress up what was once a plain brick wall.

She started with an American flag as a tribute to the store’s “Great American” namesake. After she painted Nelson’s visage over Old Glory, the words “Willie for President” just fell right into place.
