The main view through the frame is of an old stone bridge that crosses the River Irwell built in 1677 that connects the villages of Ringley to the east of the river and Stoneclough on the western side.

Also on the Ringley side is the even older spire of St. Saviour's church built in 1625.

The effect is a lovely village scene. On a modern note the frame is flanked by some large metal flowers, a decorative effect for the Kearsley in Bloom competition.
