"Un cop conegudes les característiques geològiques de cada una de les formacions que es poden contemplar a les proximitats del Santuari de Lluc, els visitants podran gaudir d’un gran espectacle visual. Les formacions que adopten les roques, que poden arribar a representar una font d’inspiració per artistes, degut a la seva sinuositat, desperten l’interès de tothom que arriba fins a Lluc. Així i tot, la zona més visitada continua essent Es Camell de Lluc, roca que rep aquesta denominació degut a la seva forma tan singular que s’ha anat modelant amb el pas dels segles.

Per arribar al Camell s’ha de recórrer un camí de muntanya que s’inicia a l’alçada del camp de futbol de Lluc, travessar el torrent per un pontet de fusta i caminar per una de les zones amb més pendent, ja que es tracta de l’ascensió al resclar de Lluc. En el transcurs de la caminada els visitants podran observar un rotllo de sitja, element que durant molts d’anys fou utilitzat per obtenir el carbó a partir de la fusta que era combustida. En aquest mateix indret, caldrà desviar-se del camí principal per caminar un centenar de metres fins arribar a divisar la roca d’Es Camell.

Un cop arribat al Camell el visitant podrà passar per les proximitats de la roca per tocar les escletxes que ha esculpit l’erosió de l’aigua de pluja durant milers d’anys i comprovar la bellesa d’aquesta roca gegant. De la mateixa manera, a la dreta de la roca es pot accedir a un mirador d’uns vint metres d’alçada des d’on es pot contemplar una magnífica panoràmica sobre la impressionant vall de Lluc."
