[FR] Jean Charré, né au Blanc, et son camarade de Tours, Jean Deguittre, 2 jeunes F.F.I. (Forces Françaises de l'Intérieur) du groupe Gille, furent arrêtés le dimanche 27 août 1944. Torturés par la gestapo, installée à Saint-Avertin, ils furent éxécutés dans ce vallon.
Raymond Besson et André Munoz, originaires de l'Ile-Bouchard et membres du maquis de Scévolles, était tombés aux mains des Allemands, le 21 août 1944, près de Champigny-sur-Veude, avec un 3ème maquisard, Marcel Masson, tué pendant l'arrestation.
Ces deux Résistants, transférés dans une propriété voisine de ce vallon y furent torturés et exécutes sans procès.
Les corps furent découverts à la Libération, les 4 et 6 septembre 1944. Une commémoration à la mémoire de ces martyrs a lieu ici tous les ans, le dernier dimanche d'août.

[EN] Jean Charré, borned in the city Blanc, and his companion of Tours, Jean Deguittre, 2 young people F.F.I. (French Forces of the Interior) of the group Gille, were arrested on Sunday, August 27th, 1944. Tortured by the Gestapo, installed to Saint-Avertin, they were éxécutés in this valley.
Raymond Besson and André Munoz, native of Ile-Bouchard and members of the scrubland of Scévolles, had fallen in the hands of the Germans, on August 21st, 1944, near Champigny-sur-Veude, with a 3rd resistance fighter, Marcel Masson, a person killed during the arrest.
These two Resistance fighters, transferred in a nearby property of this valley were tortured there and execute without trial.
Bodies were discovered to the Liberation, on September 4th and 6th, 1944. A remembrance to the memory of these martyrs takes place here every year, last Sunday of August.
