EN: The Marthastift is a medieval building complex behind the church of St. Peter. The main façade in the west has three floors, as it is on a slope, there are more floors in the eastern part. Obviously, the building has been rebuilt and expanded many times, since the various parts of the building and the floors differ. But all in all, the Gothic style is clearly dominant.
Unfortunately, I could not find any information about the building and its history. Judging by the name, it was perhaps a lady's convent before the Reformation. In recent years, it was used as a senior citizens' residence, but it has moved to a new location with more space in autumn 2016.
DE: Der Marthastift ist ein mittelalterlicher Gebäudekomplex hinter der Peterskirche. Die Hauptfassade im Westen hat drei Stockwerke, da es an einem Abhang liegt sind es im Osten mehr. Offensichtlich wurde das Gebäude schon häufig umgebaut und erweitert, da die verschiedenen Gebäudeteile und Stockwerke sich teilweise sehr unterscheiden. Im Ganzen ist der gotische Baustil aber eindeutig dominierend.
Leider konnte ich keinerlei Informationen über das Gebäude und seine Geschichte finden. Dem Namen nach zu urteilen, war es vor der Reformation vielleicht ein Damenstift. In den letzten Jahren war darin ein Seniorenwohnheim untergebracht, das im Herbst 2016 an eine neue Adresse mit mehr Platz umgezogen ist.
