This 1930s Darley Champion siren is located near Marfa High School along W Columbia Street. It sits in a perch jutting out from a light standard.

This is a sister siren to the one on the Marfa Water Tank. (visit link)

Because this siren is located near a dry wash, it could be part of a flash flood warning system. Flash floods are especially dangerous in desert areas like Marfa, because the rain can happen 60 miles away over the mountains and the flood could rush down the washes without anyone ever knowing it had rained.
