Das Mühlrad befindet sich an der Eselmühle, Eselberg, 88239 Wangen.
Das Gebäude wird erstmals 1436 als Stadtmühle erwähnt.
Diese wurde 1554 vom Spital erworben und 1568 neu erbaut.
Seit 1592 ist der Name Eselmühle belegt.
Der Mahlbetrieb wurde 1937 eingestellt.
Seit 1969 im Besitz der Stadt Wangen welche das Gebäude als Heimatmuseum nutzt
Da das Mühlrad auch im Winter mit Wasser versorgt wird entstehen bizarre Eisskulturen

The mill wheel is located at the Eselmühle, Eselberg, 88239 Wangen.
The building was first mentioned in 1436 as a town mill.
This was acquired by the hospital in 1554 and rebuilt in 1568.
The name "Eselmühle" has been used since 1592.
The milling operation was discontinued in 1937.
Since 1969 it has been owned by the city of Wangen, which uses the building as a local museum
