Sunday services are at 11 AM. While their mailing address is Whitesboro, they are much closer to Callisburg, and the Sturgeon community (sometimes called "Baum") is nearby. Interestingly, Charles Roff is buried in the cemetery: He was a Confederate officer who was called to testify during the Great Hanging of Gainesville in 1862.

An interesting headstone belongs to John M. Kent, who is buried here with his wife, Delilah. The headstone is either a replacement for an older marker -- note Mrs. Kent's 1877 headstone in the gallery -- or a modern headstone put into place at a much later date. It reads:

Pvt. 36th Virginia Infantry

John M. Kent
C.S.A.
1827-1904

W.I.A. Belgrove Oct. 19, 1864

They're referring to The Battle of Cedar Creek, also known as The Battle of Belle Grove, in which Private Kent was wounded in action, northeast of Strasburg, Virginia.
